BAYON FOREVER, Angkor's smile
Located in the heart of Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple remains one of the main Buddhist sanctuaries in South East Asia. It was built during the XIIth centuring by the great Cambodian king, Jayavarnan VII. It was so overgrown by vegetation that the first explorators venturing in that area, did not see its peculiar architecture. As soon as 1908, Jean Commaille, first curator of the E.F.E.O, undertook to clear it. His successors restored it. The magnificent bas-reliefs illustrate the royal epics as well as every day life (the scenes of the rural life are often the same as we find today).
Losts of the researchers looked into the mystery of the Buddhist temple. To whom belong the mysterious smile brightening the 200 faces watching the entire universe ?

SACRED STONES FOREVER, Preah Khan & Ta Prohm, Angkor Temple
The curators of the E.F.E.O decided that the Ta Prohm remained overgrown by vegetation. Like the first explorators, the visitors are moved while discovering these immense roots holding the angkorian jewel. Before it was overgrown by nature, sumptuous ceremonies took place in these rooms and galleries. The temple of Ta Prohm and Preah Khan housed hundreds of divinities that the officiant priests, the Apsara dancers. the musicians, the farmers and the guardians of the treasure worshipped. In spite of nature's persistence, we can still hear the beat.
